Drusilla Marie Pedersen, age 93, formerly of Granite Falls and Marshall, MN died on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the Renville Nursing Home where she resided for the past five years. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2019, with visitation two hours prior at First Lutheran Church in Renville. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Granite Falls. Arrangements are with Dirks-Blem Funeral Home, Renville, MN.
Drusilla Marie Pedersen was born on April 26, 1926, in Amiret, Minnesota to John Edward “Ed” and Lila (Madden) Bedow. She graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1944. She was united in marriage to Robert Pedersen on July 2, 1945, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Arco. In 1948, they moved to the old junction of Highways 23 and 67, west of Granite Falls. She raised her five children and helped operate Pederson’s Trading Post and gas station for 26 years. Robert died in 1975. In 1979, the State of MN bought the property to make the junction safer, so Drusilla relocated to Marshall. Drusilla worked for 15 years as the evening snack bar manager at SW State University. She was member of Granite Falls Lutheran Church, Marshall Evangelical Free Church, and First Lutheran Church in Renville.
She is survived by her daughters: Pat (Roger) Olson of Newton, KS, Linda (Tim) Lindgren of South Shore, SD, Vicky (Jeff) Bratsch of Renville, and Sandra Slinger of Apple Valley; her nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her son Jimmy.
