Cleon Everson, 60, of Dawson passed away peacefully in his sleep September 6th. A private burial will be held Tuesday, September 14th, at the East Irving Mission Cemetery, Paynesville. Arrangements are with Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. Cleon was born to Norman & Zelda (Engh) Everson January 5th, 1961 in Paynesville, MN. Due to an accident, he became a resident of Glacier Ridge Training Center, Willmar in 1973. From 1995-2019 he lived at MNSOCS Lakeland II, and his current residence was Divine House II in Dawson. Cleon was easy going, friendly and had a wonderful laugh. He loved country music, car rides, and sweets. At home he often had a magazine in hand and enjoyed watching The Price is Right. He is survived by his father Norman Everson of Paynesville, sisters Cynthia (Bob) Johnson, Litchfield, Denise (Ron) Fyle, South Haven, and Stephanie Good, Paynesville; brother Loren, Willmar; brother-in-law Richard Kalkbrenner, Paynesville. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and many health and social workers who provided love, care and companionship throughout the years. Cleon was preceded in death by his mother Zelda, sister Lisa Kalkbrenner, one nephew, one niece and grandparents.
