Other surviving family members are her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Don Ostern of Duluth, as well as nieces and nephews. Before her retirement, Bev was a longtime employee of Northshore Bank of Commerce.Beverly was known as “Nana” by her three grandchildren. She was a wonderful grandmother, always spending quality time with them in Duluth and at the lake house. Bev and Dick grew up and lived in Duluth and built their retirement home on Dinham Lake near Cotton Minnesota. There we all enjoyed the beauty and serenity of their place on the lake. We had wonderful times with our families, enjoying pontoon rides, nature walks, and fabulous meals. Bev was an excellent cook. In their later years, they spent winters in Fort Myers enjoying the company of good friends and the beautiful weather. Bev was the daughter of Norwegian immigrants. She was so proud of her heritage and loved all things Norwegian. She traveled to Norway with her family to see the places where her parents grew up. She developed close friendships with these relatives in spite of the distance between them. Beverly was a loving caring person who always put her family first. We miss her terribly but are happy knowing that she is reunited with her husband and family in paradise. Hvil i fred, kjaere Mor. Private interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
