Shaw, 81, formerly of Turtle River, MN died on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the May Creek Cottages in Walker, MN.Private graveside services and internment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery of Blackduck, Minnesota. Dora was born on April 4, 1939 in Isabel, Leyte Province, Republic of Philippines, the daughter of Jacinto and Domicma (Alesna) Pelen. On June 30, 1962 she married Harold Shaw in the Philippines. They lived in several states over the years and moved back to the Blackduck area in 1973 where they farmed. For many years, she and Harold had managed RV parks in Bullhead City, AZ and Needles, CA. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Blackduck. Our Mother’s life was all about her family, friends and enjoying everything she did. She loved being outdoors. If it was gardening, she grew the best vegetables and flowers; if she went camping, nothing was forgotten. Mostly she loved to go fishing and nothing went back in the lake or river. Mom was an achiever in everything she did. No matter if it was cooking, playing cards, crafting or a job she worked at. Artura “Dora” Shaw is survived by her children, James Shaw, Marilyn (Dennis) Nyland, Donald (Brenda) Shaw, Susan Alexander, and Roxanne (Brian) Hartje; grandchildren, Julie (Kelly) Juelson, David Pater, Ryan (Meghan) Klein, Timothy (Kristen) Klein, Shawn Klein, Kyle Shaw, Keyanna Shaw, Cole (Alyssa) Hartje, and Chase Hartje; great grandchildren, Michael Juelson, Trenten Juelson, Emma Pater, Kennedy Klein, and Piper Klein. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Shaw in 2012; uncle, John; and aunt, Chris Holtzclaw. Messages of condolence may be sent to ceasefuneralhome.com
