MARTIN, Jeffrey Sep 12, 1955 – May 30, 2019

Jeffrey Alan Martin, 63, went to be with his loved ones on May 30th, 2019 at his home with family by his side. Jeff was born to Franklin and Imajean Martin on September 12th, 1955 in Kokomo. He graduated from Haworth High School in 1973. After, Jeff went on to start a family with his former wife of 20 years, Evelyn Floyd. They had daughter, Michelle Thatcher and son, Joshua Martin.
Jeff became a certified electrician, and worked for himself for over 30 years.
Jeff was a jokester and had an awesome sense of humor. He loved to spend time in Michigan and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, and ride his 4wheeler. Jeff also loved to ride his Harley Davidson in his early days, which he bought along with his good friend, Darrell Monroe’s, matching bike. He was a member of the Howard Masonic Lodge #93, following in his father’s footsteps. Jeff was also a member of the Bunker Hill Conservation Club.
Jeff was a dedicated grandfather, and loved his family. He was well known for his hard work.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Jeff leaves behind his significant other, Criss Shoffner; daughter Michelle (J.R. Evans) Thatcher and son Joshua (Jessica) Martin; step daughter Jamie (Jimmie) James; mother of his children Evelyn (Jr.) Floyd; grandchildren Zackory and Adam Thatcher, Jordan Blakely, Derick and Nikki Rutherford, Kolton Shoffner, Jimmie “Bub” James III, Jesse James, and Jenna James; and great-grandchildren Jason and Jaylee Reign Thatcher; special friends Mark Young, John “J.W.” Wilhelm, Mike Frey, Jim Barnett, Brian Sullivan, Donnie Aldridge and his son, Chris, and Bob “Robert” Morgan.
He is preceded in passing by his parents.
Friends and family may visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4th, at Ellers Mortuary 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902. A funeral service will be held Wednesday June 5th, at 11 a.m. also at the mortuary. Jeff will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Garden following the service.
