Larry retired from the Kokomo Fire Department as Deputy Fire Chief after 28 years of service. He would proudly tell everyone of his years at the fire department with great fondness. He never knew a stranger and was loved by all.
He so loved his family with all his heart and will forever be missed. Through all his health issues he never wavered in his love. He was very vocal to those he loved. We will miss his words; he told us daily “I love you.”
He loved spending time at his lake house in Floral City, Florida and enjoyed gardening. He was always available to help a friend in need. He helped his family and taught his grandkids many skills but most importantly, he set an example of love, character and integrity. He was the rock of our family.
His family wishes to thank all those who assisted in his care over the last years.
Larry will be cremated and will be buried at a later date. A service will be held at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bill Duncan will officiate.
