ETHERINGTON, Janice Sep 20, 1953 – Sep 29, 2020

Janice S. Etherington, 67, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, in Logansport Memorial Hospital following a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born Sept. 20, 1953, in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Shirley (Miller) Cox.
On March 31, 1970, she was married to Ronald Etherington. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Janice was a graduate of Logansport High School. She was retired from Hopper Development Corp., where she had worked as an assembler for many years.
She enjoyed reading, bowling and tending to her flower garden. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren kept her young. She saw beauty in all things and lives behind the legacy of vision with the donation of her corneas through the Donate Life Indiana network.
Surviving are her fiancé, Fred Krise, Logansport; one daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Raymond Boyer, of Logansport; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Amy Etherington, of Leo, Indiana; two brothers, Jamie Cox and Tommy (Sophie) Cox; 11 grandchildren, Trevor Boyer, Hannah Etherington, Shyann Boyer, Shaylee Boyer, Lillie Etherington, Nate Etherington, Heather Krise, Ashley Crouse, Amanda Emling, Keadan Hulburt, and Kellan Hulburt; and five great-granchildren, Bradley Boyer, Charlotte Boyer, Hadleigh Phelps, Kiara Phelps and C.J. Crouse.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Cox and Ronnie Cox.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Janice Etherington will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, with Dawn Fisher officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Inurnment, at a later date, will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Carroll County.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Janice’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
