Rosemary Voudrie, 86, of Pana died Thursday, December 31, 2015 in her home.
She was born June 4, 1929 in Pana, the daughter of Charles & Ogretta Hasinbiller Flesch. A graduate of Pana Township High School, she had lived her entire life in the Pana area.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, was very active in the CCW with the rosary at the nursing homes and was treasurer until a year ago. She was also a Pana Community Hospital Auxiliary volunteer. Rosemary has worked at Mallory, at Christian County Courthouse, was secretary at Pana High School and later worked in the unit office as secretary to Bruce Wieneke where she retired. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, tending to her flowers, liked her cat and enjoyed all Pana Panther Sports.
Rosemary Flesch and Duaine A. Voudrie were united in marriage on September 19, 1953 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pana. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2000.
She is survived by her son Stephen Voudrie & wife Nancy, Pana, IL; granddaughter Stefani Beverlin and husband Josh, Newton, IL and by her sister Carolyn Schweitzer, Romeoville, IL. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Delmar & Sharon Voudrie, Pana; Elmer & Myrna Voudrie, Mattoon; Alfred & Greta Voudrie, Granite Falls, MN; Clarence Jr. & Sylvia Voudrie, Nashville, AR; Leto Voudrie, Moweaqua; Robert & Sandra Voudrie, Decatur; Ronald & Linda Voudrie, Decatur; Stanley & Mary Voudrie, Tremont; Leola & Ron Konecki, Chicago; Linda & Harold Baldock, Owaneco; Verla Voudrie, Pana and Dorothy Voudrie, Terre Haute, IN.
She was preceded in death by her brother Charles Flesch, Jr. in infancy, brothers-in-law: Cyril Voudrie and Cletus Voudrie, and sister-in-law Irene Voudrie.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with rosary at 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Rodney A. Schwartz officiating. Burial will be in Rosemond Grove Cemetery.
