Robert Reece Ulrich, 58, lost his three-year battle with secondary cancer caused from two previous and successful battles with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Rob was born Feb. 4, 1957 in Lancaster to Robert P Ulrich Jr. and Gail Stansberry. He lived in Mojave, attending grades K-12 at Mojave Unified Schools where his grandfather was superintendent.
On June 28, 1975, he married the love of his life and childhood friend, Cheri Corwin. They were married 40 years and were totally devoted to each other. They had two sons, Robert John Ulrich and Craig Corwin Ulrich. The family of four enjoyed many family outings in their motor home, making several trips to Mexico and around the western states. In 1983, Rob and Cheri moved to Tehachapi where Rob’s Construction Company took off. In 1995, Rob and Cheri followed their dream of living in Alaska where they enjoyed many happy years. Rob’s construction business continued to be successful in Alaska. Rob and Cheri continued to travel at every opportunity enjoying new sites and new foods.
Rob is survived by his loving wife, Cheri; two sons, Robert (Crystal) of Alaska and Dr. Craig Ulrich of Reno, Nev.; parents Bob and Gail Ulrich of Mojave; and sisters Bonnie (Mark) of Mojave and Kathleen (Larry) of Oregon. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Rob as well as his cousin who he considered a brother, Harold Ulrich Jr. Rob’s special sense of humor, along with the annual Ulrich Family Christmas Letter will be greatly missed by family, many friends and clients who depended on Rob for all their building and repair needs. Per Rob’s request, there will be no services.
