Nicholas Cruz Neira

November 19, 1991 — January 12, 2016

Nicholas Cruz Neira, 24, passed away on January 12, 2016, at home in Bakersfield, CA. He was born on November 19, 1991, in Bakersfield, CA, to Delfino and Nancy Neira. Nick grew up in Bakersfield, CA. He attended and graduated from Bakersfield High School, where he excelled in academics and found passion in singing. He loved singing with the BHS choirs for four years. He went on to attend SJVC, where he graduated with an Associate of Science degree for pharmacy technology. He worked as a pharmacy tech for five years at CVS, where he was always ready and willing to help anybody. His greatest joys in life were going to the beach, singing, music, his favorite TV shows, and helping others. However, nothing brought Nick more joy and happiness than being with his niece and nephews. He would often go for drives and places with them and his brother Paul. Nick always, of course, picked the music. He was loved by all he met and will be deeply missed by many.

Nick is survived by his parents, Delfino and Nancy Neira; grandparents, Frank and Lupe Tinoco, and Manuel and Mary Neira; brothers, Andrew Delfino Neira, Rueben Daniel Morales and wife Rosie, and Paul Manuel Neira; niece, Angeline Neira; nephews, Benjamin Rojas, Joseph Neira, and Ramiro Morales; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The visitation will be held on Monday, January 18, at Greenlawn Southwest Celebration of Life Center from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 900 H Street.

The Neira family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Hoffmann Hospice for all of their love, help, and care, as well as Dr. Christina Del Torro-Diaz and staff. For condolences, please visit
