Dr. Aloysius MyungMoo Choe

1934 -2015

With deep sadness, we share the passing of Dr. Aloysius M. Choe. Dr. Choe was born in South Korea in 1934. After surviving the Korean War, he immigrated to the U.S. in 1955. He attended St. Norbert College (De Pere, WI) and studied medicine at Marquette University. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at LA County/USC Medical, Dr. Choe pursued a fellowship in Cardiology, followed by advanced study in heart catheterization, at St. Vincent Hospital, Los Angeles. For over 35 years, Dr. Choe distinguished himself in interventional cardiology. He further served his colleagues and the community as Chief of Staff for two terms, retiring from practice at St. Jude Hospital, Fullerton, in 2008. Dr. Choe is survived by his wife of 17 years, Aija; two brothers and one sister; six children, two step-children, and eleven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held January 16, 2016, at 12:00 PM at Gospel Presbyterian Church, located at 1751 W. La Habra Blvd., La Habra, 90631.
