Elva was born on November 20, 1969 to Joe Sr. and Maria Herrera in Colorado Springs, CO. Elva attended North Jr. High and Palmer High School where she made lifelong friends.

For the past 20 years Elva worked as a packer for various moving companies. She liked to go camping, fishing, making crafts, listening to oldies, spending time with her kids & grandkids. She was a die-hard fan of the Miami Dolphins, she loved the Smurfs, she had a collection of approximately 50 cherished ceramic teddy bears that she proudly displayed in her home for the past 20 years. You knew you were initiated into the family when she licked you somewhere on your face! She was a big kid at heart and loved to play around. She had a big smile and a laugh that was contagious. She impacted so many people and will be dearly missed.
