Marlene L. Schoenecker, 65, Fort Atkinson

Marlene L. Schoenecker, 65, of Fort Atkinson, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, after a battle with cancer.

Marlene was born April 25, 1952, in Fort Atkinson, and was a lifelong area resident.

She most recently worked at MPI, Wisconsin Fine Blanking.

Marlene was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Pearl and Jerry Johnson of Fort Atkinson; one sister, Christine Schlee of Fort Atkinson; two daughters, Meredith (Christopher) Schultz of Deerfield and Megan (Joshua) Aubihl of Cambridge; grandchildren, Ian Schultz, Reid Aubihl and Gavin Aubihl; as well as her three nieces, Audrea Tessman, Angie Hustad, Jessica Powers; and one nephew, Michael Powers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Powers; and her two brothers, Steve Powers and Randall Powers.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 7, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Marlene’s home in Fort Atkinson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson County.
