LAKE MILLS — Marie E. W. Burrow, 93, of Lake Mills, died on Sept. 21, 2017, at Sunset Ridge in Johnson Creek.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1923, in Watertown, the daughter of the late Herman and Edna (Schumacher) Lemke, Jr.
Marie married Harold Burrow of Lake Mills on Oct. 13, 1945, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. He died on May 18, 2000.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a cook for Northwestern College in Watertown, St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Lake Mills and Lakeside Lutheran High School.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Mills, the St. Paul’s Mission Society, Lakeside Lutheran Guild and the Townline Mothers Club.
Marie enjoyed cooking and crocheting.
She is survived by five sons, Eugene (Cheryl) of Lake Mills, David of Evansville, Alvin (Phyllis) of Janesville, Stanley (Cathy) of Lake Mills and Philip of Hartland; three daughters, Donna (Robert) Mundt of Marshall, Lois (Steve) Baird of Fort Atkinson and Anita (Tom) Freeman of Fort Atkinson; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, John (Elsie) Lemke of Oconomowoc; one sister, Arlene Lemke of Watertown; other relatives and friends.
Also preceding in death was a son-in-law, Richard Rauber; granddaughter, Cheryl Vander Velden; and great-granddaughter, Kacey Burrow.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Mills.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at the church and also Wednesday morning at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Lake Mills.
If desired, memorials may be made to the church or Lakeside Lutheran High School.
