Vicki Morris Gillespie, 65, of Pulaski, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Pulaski on Nov. 27, 1951, she was the eldest daughter of the late George and Frances Huff Morris. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband John “Carson” Gillespie. She spent many years working with the Salvation Army and Goodwill in both Pulaski and Radford, and The Wedding Center in Pulaski. She was a member of Pulaski Christian Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Cindy White and husband Dwain of Pulaski, Va., and Elaine Dunn and husband Mike of Franklin, Va.; special cousin Teresa Kemp of Max Meadows; stepchildren Carol Reese and husband Doug of Radford; Wanda Gillespie Cress and husband Ronnie of Lynchburg; Johnny Gillespie and wife Angie and nieces Marcia Carter and husband Ed of Wilmington N.C.; and April Bouldin and husband Sherman of Mount Airy N.C., and 7 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home with a service following at 11 a.m., officiated by Chaplain Robbie Vance and Pastor David Hoover. Burial will follow at Thornspring Cemetery in Pulaski County.
Family will be receiving friends at 221 Birch Street in Pulaski anytime Monday and Tuesday.
