Sally Lucy Crews Knick, 88, of 3275 Gap Road, Chatham, Va., peacefully passed away at her home, on Friday, August 11, 2017, following a year long decline in health. A resident of Pittsylvania County since her birth on February 4, 1929, Mrs. Knick was a member of County Line Christian Church. As a devoted mother and homemaker, she helped her husband on the family farm and enjoyed her flower gardens. Mrs. Knick is survived by three daughters, Brenda K. Phillips and husband, Ricky, of Danville, Kathy K. Hall and husband, Darrell, of Dry Fork, Va., and Cheryl K. Keaton and husband, Roger “Buster”, of Chatham, Va.; and a son, Kenneth L. Knick and wife, Betty, of Chatham, Va.; as well as 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Knick was predeceased by her parents, Cordie Young Crews and George Crews; husband, Elmer Lee Knick; as well as two sisters, Lizzie C. Heath and Janie C. Comer; and three brothers, Percy Crews, Charlie Crews and George Carroll “Dick” Crews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017, at County Line Christian Church with Ministers Dean Ashby and Tim Maness officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt.
