Kiloski, Dr. Rev. Charles Farr

Dr. Rev. Charles Farr Kiloski “Chic” born May 17, 1931, in Scranton, Pa., went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2016, and is now in the presence of Jesus Christ, the Savior he loved and served.He was a husband, father, brother, evangelist, preacher, pastor, radio Bible Teacher, but most importantly a born-again Christian. Chic was saved as a teenager. Upon graduation from high school he enrolled at Practical Bible Training School in Johnson City, N.Y. After graduating in 1953, he started his ministry as a traveling evangelist with the late Dr. John L. Benson. On one of their campaigns Chic met Patricia Fox and they were married March 6, 1955. They have two daughters, Julie, and (Mike) Lily; granddaughters, Katie, Kimberly, (Tyler) Pepper; and granddaughters, Lydia and Mara.Chic was an outstanding preacher and was blessed by pastoring six churches. He will be remembered for his ability to quote scripture and poetry, his superior command of vocabulary, his passion for souls, and stand for pro-life. He was an avid runner and ran 26 marathons including the Boston Marathon.Preceding him in death are his sisters, Audrey Lumley, and Lois Kolb. Survivors include a sister, Mary Lynn Odheusden, and several nieces and nephews.Throughout his career Chic touches the lives of many people. Those now in heaven are saying welcome home, as those left on earth bid farewell to a choice servant of the cross.”In this love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to the propitiation for our sins” 1 John 4:10A private family funeral will be held graveside in Highland Burial Park Cemetery in Danville, Virginia.Howerton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    I just googled Charles Kiloski today and found his obituary. My deepest sympathies to you and family. I will always remember you both, Chic’s ministry with John Benson to KY and my time with you both back in Scranton. Thank you both for such treasured memories. My husband Bob passed away in 2010 so I know the profound loss and missing. We’ll meet again.
