DUBLIN—Services for Neva L. Traweek, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the First Baptist Church of Dublin with Dean Bradley and Dr. Cliff Sims officiating. Burial will follow in the Dublin Liveoak Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Harrell Funeral Home.
Neva was born in the Lone Oak Community of Erath County. She was the daughter of Louis Edward Mote, Sr. and Annie Louise (Mull) Mote. She was united in marriage to Bobby Joe ‘Bob’ Traweek on Jan. 29, 1956 in Purves and to this union two daughters were born.
She was a proud homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church and loved teaching children’s Sunday School and Bible School. She was involved with the 4-H Club and was a telephone operator for a time. She had been awarded with the outstanding homemaker of the year and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 11, 2011.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Ben Carroll of Comanche and Donna Traweek of Dublin; grandchildren, Tommy Watson and wife Christine, Alecia Carroll, Brad Moss and Adam Carroll; three great-grandchildren; her brother-in-laws, Bill Traweek of Stephenville, James Traweek of Stephenville and Larry Walker of Dublin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
