Burial will follow at Edom Cemetery in Edom under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mizzles passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born August 12, 1947 in El Paso, Texas to W. V. and Jean Baird Trusler. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitehouse, was a former member of the Sunshine Class and a teacher of the Joy Class. She served on the Bereavement Luncheon Committee for funerals. She also proudly served as a volunteer with the Salvation Army.
Rosemary graduated from Henderson High in 1965 and then attended Kilgore Jr. College. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at East Texas Baptist College in 1969. She received her Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin in 1974. Her career started as a Special Education teacher and then she retired from Tyler ISD as the principal of Birdwell Elementary in 1998. She loved to teach.
Mrs. Mizzles enjoyed playing Mahjong with friends and neighbors in the Troup area. She liked to share baked goods. Everyone loved Rosemary.
Rosemary is survived by her loving family including husband Truman Mizzles; daughter Melinda Presas and husband Ramon Presas, III, of Waxahachie; grandchildren Jenny Partain, Alex Partain and Andy Partain.
Pallbearers will be Ramon Presas, III, David Moody, Jay Field, Travis Bussey, Andy Partain, Ramon Presas, Jr., and Harold Liverett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Morris Bussey, Tom Stringfellow, John Tucker and Frank Bane.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
