Larry Gateley

A memorial service has been scheduled for Larry T. Gateley of Honey Grove at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at the First Baptist Church in Honey Grove with Rev. Terry Cunningham and Rev. James Rogers presiding. A family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Gateley passed away at Texoma Medical in Denison Jan. 9, 2016.

Larry Thomas Gateley was born Dec. 19, 1945, in Greenbrier, Ark., to William E. and Mercedes (Nicdao) Gateley.

He was an electrician in the electrical contracting business. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.

Larry is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; a son, Jeff and wife Jennifer Gateley of Flower Mound; daughter Kristie and husband Marshall Morton of Mesquite; stepson Steve Yarbrough and wife Clair of Richmond, Va.; his mother, Mercedes Gateley of Mesquite; and grandchildren Kolbey Gateley, Collin Gateley, Price Gateley, Chandler Gateley, Jessie Morton, Chase Morton, Brian Yarbrough and Sophie Yarbrough. He is further survived by sisters Arlene and husband Terry Moseley of Mesquite, Celia and husband Tom Jones of Denton, Benda Maxwell of Wichita Falls, Gloria and husband Steve Smith of  Burleson; a brother, William and wife Carol Gateley of Garland; and several nieces and nephews.
