Jean Pearson Clem, 88, of Tyler, went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2016 following a brief illness. Her children were with her in her final days at Hospice of Austin. Born March 30, 1927, in Orangeburg, SC to Legare and Marguerite Pearson. She married Earl Clem June 11, 1947, in Tuscaloosa AL. An active member of Green Acres Baptist Church, Jean was a Charter Member of The Woods Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving in many capacities. Jean was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Clem, in 1994. She is survived by her brother, Tom Pearson and wife, Donna of Riverside, CA; sister, Annie Ray Noland of Tuscaloosa, AL; son, David Clem and wife, Kathy of Henly, TX; daughter, Denise Fessler and husband, Mark of Dahinda, IL, and her grandchildren; Chester Clem and wife, Julie of North Weymouth, MA, Jessica Clem and husband, Eric James of Lebanon, NH, James Fessler of Chicago, IL, and Rebecca Fessler of St Paul, MN. A service will be held at Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home Chapel on January 20, at 3:00p.m. with Dr. Paul Powell officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Jean is loved by her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorials be made to Hospice Austin’s Christopher House, 2820 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Austin, TX, 78702.
