GALESBURG — Ellen M. Hartley, 92, of Galesburg, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, in Marigold Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 5, 1924 in Floyd Township, Warren County, the daughter of Richard and Minnie (Oliver) Barry. She married Donald O. Tabb. She then married Henry DeLattre. She later married Norman Hartley.
Ellen worked in the dietary department of the former Galesburg Research Hospital for many years before retiring. She graduated from Corpus Christi High School in 1942. She was a long time member of Coldbrook Christian Church.
She is survived by a son, Richard (and Sue) Tabb of Quincy; a daughter, Sue Ellen Rebstock of Cleburne, Texas; grandchildren, Alex (and Kristin) Tabb, Philip Tabb, Lisa Flanagan Smith, and Kim (Jens) Hedegaard; great grandchildren, Landon, Evan, and Colin Tabb, Nikki Rodgers, Justin (and Susan) Smith, and Katrina, Kally, Krissy, and Klaire Hedegaard; great, great grandchildren, Alexander Smith, and Hayden and Aubrey Rodgers; and extended step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, Kenneth (and Rosemary) Rebstock, Ben (and Lisa) Rebstock, Tiffany (and Brett) Henderson, Brittany (and Jeff) Kovach, Hillary (and Shawn) McGonagill, Trey Rebstock, Alayna and Abigail Rebstock, Rylie Rose and Lexie Henderson, Blake Kovach, and Kaley and Kason McGonagill.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Becky Flanagan-Hansen; and sons-in-law, Charlie Rebstock, Larry Flanagan, and Ken Hansen.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rick Warren officiating. Burial will be in Silent Home Cemetery in Cameron.
