McDade, Debra Joy

Debra Joy McDade, 62, of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center.
She was born in Harrisburg, PA on September 22, 1953 and was the daughter of Harry V. and Shirley A. Jones Mullen.
She was a member of the Middletown First Church of God, Middletown First Church of God Red Hatters, Hershey Chapter No.509 Order of the Eastern Star, Harrisburg Forest #43 Cedarettes (past president), Dauphin South Camp of The Gideon’s International, Phi Theta Kappa, AACA, and Hershey Region of the AACA. She also enjoyed quilting, golfing, Red Cross pet therapy, and was an avid dancer.
She was a graduate of Central Dauphin High School class of 1971 and of HACC class of 2002. She was retired from AMP where worked as an executive secretary. She was also retired from The Commonwealth of Pa., where she was employed as a contract analyst.
In addition to her parents, Debra is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, David A. McDade of Harrisburg; a daughter, Jamie M. Brightbill Skowood and her husband Nathan of Lancaster, PA; a step-son, Christopher D. McDade of Houston, TX; a four legged companion, Sophie Jo and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Hershey Chapter No. 509, Order of The Eastern Star service will be conducted on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Middletown First Church of God, 245 W. High St. Middletown PA 17057. Immediately followed by a tribute to her life held with the Rev. Kimberly Shifler, her pastor, officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Matinchek & Daughter Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Middletown and from 10:00 AM until the time of services Friday at the church.
Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
