James J. Libiano, 71, of Easton, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his home. Born October 22, 1944 in Easton, PA, to the late Nancy Rizzo, he was the son of the late Felix and Ruth Libiano. Jim was last employed as a chef at various fraternities at Lafayette College. He was the owner of the former Jim’s Corner, Easton, for 35 years and plenty of other business ventures throughout his life. He was a 1962 graduate of Easton High School and attended East Stroudsburg University and the University of Tampa. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea on the DMZ Line during the Vietnam War. Jim received the Easton Police Citizens Award for saving two children from a burning home. He enjoyed cooking, sports, reading, antiquing, history, nature, sportsmanship and most of all traveling. He was a member of Easton Lodge 152, F & AM and numerous social clubs in the Easton area. Surviving are three sons, James P., of Easton, Lance E., of Hermosa Beach, CA, and Mark P. and his wife Kayo, of Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Rylen and Rayne; and his former wife, Janice G. Libiano. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, January 30, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick St., Easton. Call Saturday 10-11am in the funeral home.
