Lee Joshua Eikov

Lee Joshua Eikov

January 17, 2016

The flame in our hearts has dimmed once again.

Our renaissance man, Lee Joshua Eikov, 46, passed away at Pocono Medical Center after a long battle with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). He was on the transplant list at Temple University Hospital for a heart transplant.

Lee was born Oct. 15, 1969, in Hazleton to Marjorie Eikov and Barry Eikov (deceased). He was preceded in death by his brother, Erik Eikov and his maternal grandparents, Gertrude and Morris Laveton, formerly of Stroudsburg.

Our Lee was a kind, selfless individual who thought beyond himself and wanted to give of himself to so many others.

He was a venture capitalist and innovator, as well as the board president of HCMA.

Kindness was how Lee lived his life. He was a gourmet cook, avid reader, movie lover, wine enthusiast, and loved to travel around the world. Simply, Lee was just a beautiful person.

He is survived by his mother, Marjorie (Laveton) Eikov and his stepfather, Richard Weintraub.

Lee will be “forever missed” by his friends and family.

A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg.

In keeping with the Jewish tradition, there will be no flowers.

Remembrances should be made to the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association at 4hcm.org.

  1. I went to school with Lee. He was a wonderfully sweet and witty person with the biggest most soulful eyes. I am so very saddened to hear of his passing. May he now fly with the angels. I will cherish the memories I have of him always. Rest in peace Lee.
