Lavatia A. Mooney

Lavatia A. Mooney died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at her home in Levittown. She was 74.

Born in Woodbury, N.J., and formerly a longtime resident of Burlington, N.J., Mrs. Mooney had resided in Levittown, since June of this year.

She was employed as a school bus driver for many years with various school districts.

Mrs. Mooney loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Loving mother of Christine Turner, Kimberly Alloway, and Kathleen Mooney (fiancé, Mark Platowsky), Mrs. Mooney was the devoted grandmother of Danielle, Taylor, Zachary, and Zoe; and proud great grandmother of Savannah. She was the dear sister of Jean Miller; and also will be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be held privately.

  1. I was heartbroken to see this today…i had no idea and iam sick over it !!! I loved your mother very much she was a good soul who lived for her family and thats all she cared about !!!!!! I loved her very very much but because of my law suit with first student and burlington twp i hadnt talked to her!!! i hate my self for it now!!!! she was some one i loved very much and always thought of as my mom family!!!! please forgive me for not knowing!!!! I loved her very very much!!!!!!!!
