Julie Ann Rowe Ellsworth Fredericks, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sept. 27, 2017.
Born May 3, 1931, to Dorotha Louise Peiffer Rowe and Kenneth Guy Rowe, of Titusville, Julie Ann graduated from Titusville High School (Class of 1949), and matriculated at Edinboro University and New York University.
She married the late Emerson Clarence Ellsworth in 1954.
Julie Ann studied with the Chautauqua Dance Company for four years under the direction of Winneatt Binboni, of New York City.
She graduated from Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle (CLSC) in 1963 where she spent her summers studying art and art history.
Julie Ann was president of the Titusville Women’s Club, Presbyterian Women and Region of The Henry Flagler Chapter, and Daughters of the American Revolution, in Palm Beach, Fla.
She owned and operated Julie Ann Fashions, in Titusville, for 22 years, and was a member of the Presbyterian church for 60 years and was a past deacon. She was active in the Chamber of Commerce and community affairs.
She retired to Palm Beach in 1998, and married Robert L. Fredericks, at her home, at Peek and Peak, Finley Lake, N.Y., in 2002. She summered in Chautauqua Institution, N.Y., and Titusville.
Julie Ann is survived by her husband, Robert Fredericks; brother, Thomas H. Rowe, and his wife, Patricia; step-daughter, Sherrie Fredericks; son, John K. Ellsworth (Col. USAF Ret.), and his wife, Kelly, along with her daughter, Julie Ellsworth Cox, and her husband, William; nephews Steve, James, and David Rowe; and her two grandchildren, including Mary Katherine Ellsworth and Emerson Stuart Cox.
Memorial gifts can be directed to First Presbyterian Church, 216 N. Franklin St., Titusville, Pa., 16354. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church at a date to be determined.
