John Snyder Brower of Southampton, N.J. passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016 under the loving care of his grandson, Collin O’Brien. He was 96.
He was the husband to the great love of his life, the late Estelle Hennicke Brower; father to his beloved daughter, Diane O’Brien; and grandfather to his cherished grandson, Collin O’Brien and his wife, Meredith O’Brien. He is also survived by his cousin, Dr. Calvin Moon; nephews, Jim and Jerry Lenox; and his niece, Susan Mercontini.
John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II in the Pacific Islands.
Having worked most of his life for the New Jersey Department of Corrections, he retired as Captain at Yardville Correction Center.
John enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching Westerns, and gardening.
He was a lifelong member of the Yardville VFW and the Bordentown Elks Lodge.
With angels watching over him, God welcomed John into the gates of heaven.
