John K. Dougherty, 81, of Deltona, Florida passed away August 7, 2017 at home after a long illness. He celebrated 59 years of marriage to Eleanora Dougherty on July 6.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin Dougherty of Deltona, FL and a daughter Robyn Dougherty of DeLand, FL. He was preceded in death by a son Michael Dougherty. He has two sisters, Rose Rhoades of Maryland and Benita Long of Lancaster, PA.
John enjoyed hiking, motorcycle traveling and reading books about the Civil War. John was active in his community and was a full-time volunteer at his church. John retired from R.R. Donnelley in Lancaster, PA after 35 years of service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you support your local Hospice Care Centers.
