James S. “Pepsi” Jackson
James S. “Pepsi” Jackson, 75, of Harrisburg, transitioned into eternal life on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Community General Hospital.
He was born in Mount Union, PA, son of the late Blondzella (Wilson) and James Jackson, Sr., a graduate of the former William Penn High School, where he participated in football, basketball and track. After graduating, he completed courses at HACC, Dauphin Co. Vo-Tech and the University of Texas Petroleum Extention School, as an entrepreneur, he was the founder and President of Security Plus Protection, Inc. and he retired from Mobil Oil. He was a very well known jazz guitarist who played with several local groups and in his leisure, he was an avid hunter.
Pepsi leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Wilma Connor Jackson; his daughter; Wendy Jackson-Dowe (Roy); his son, Rodney Jackson (Jane); his sister, JoAnne Morton; his grandchildren, Connor, Claire, Kennedy, Zoe and Adam and a host of other relatives and friends.
His life will be celebrated on Monday, January 25th at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, 2447 Green St., Harrisburg with viewing 9:30 until 11 a.m. and burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements entrusted to the Ministry of Comfort of Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton.
