Henry S. Breneman

Henry S. Breneman, 84, of Millersville, entered into rest unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at LGH from injuries following a fall on Monday. He was the loving husband of Jane M. Greener Breneman with whom he was married twenty-two years on November 8.

Before his retirement, Henry owned & operated Breneman Asphalt & Seal Coating in Lancaster for many years.

Born August 5, 1931 in Manor Township, he was the son of the late Aaron R. and Cora H. (Sangrey) Breneman. A Christian, Henry attended Pequea Church, Lancaster. Henry was a Master Mason with the Charles M. Howell Lodge # 496, F. & A.M., Millersville, where he was Worshipful Master in 1973. He also was a member of the Lancaster Lodge of Perfection-Valley of Lancaster, the Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon-Forest #27. Henry was also a life member of the Pequea Valley Sportsman Association and the Riverside Camping Association.

Henry was a loving and loyal man. A jack of all trades and always willing to help anyone in need.

In addition to his wife, Jane, Henry is survived by his five children; Susan Mitchell, of Lititz, Steven Breneman married to Jamie, of NY, Thomas Breneman married to Sandi, of Conestoga, Diane Breneman, of Columbia and David Breneman married to Jenifer, of Mt. Airy, IA three step-children; Jeff Greener married to Lisa, of Lancaster, Greg Greener, of Millersville and Pam Greener, of Lancaster; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two siblings; Jay W. Breneman married to Dianne, of Millersville and Arlene Gaul, of Manheim. He was also preceded in death by three siblings; Lois Keener, Roy Breneman and Benjamin Breneman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Henry’s Celebration of Life Funeral Service from Pequea Church, 40 Church Road, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 10AM. There will be a viewing at Pequea Church on Wednesday between 9 and 10AM. Interment with a Masonic Service accorded by his Lodge will be held in the Masonville Mennonite Cemetery, Manor Township, PA. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in Henry’s memory to Pequea Church, 40 Church Road, Lancaster, PA 17603.
