Helen May McConley, age 82, of Effort, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at home.
Helen was the wife of the late Franklin E. McConley who passed away on Feb. 4, 1998.
She was born in New Ringgold on July 26, 1935, daughter of the late Francis and Hilda (Paul) Leymeister.
Helen had worked as an assistant manager at the United Jersey Bank Northwest in Jefferson, New Jersey for over 26 years, until retiring.
We have been blessed with the presence of Helen in our lives she will be deeply missed by her loving daughters: Wendie McConley-Capuano and her husband, Clifford Sr., of Effort; Susan McConley and companion, Wayne Horninger, of Effort, and Beth Archangel and husband, Ralph Jr., of Effort. She was the loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren: Christopher, Gregory, Todd, Wendie, Heidi, Amanda, Kimberly, Donna and Brittany; and step grandchildren, Clifford Jr. and Christin; and her 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister: Martha Wilson of Dingmans; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Franklin, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynne McConley; and a brother, Paul Leymeister.
Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1 at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, with prayers beginning at 8 p.m.
Helen will be buried at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2 on the family plot at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, New Jersey.
