Fruhwirth, George R.

George R. Fruhwirth, 74, of Camp Hill, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in Holy Spirit Hospital after a yearlong struggle of illness.
He was born March 4, 1941 in Harrisburg, son of the late George and Julia (Shayter) Fruhwirth.
He was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed with the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot for 35 years before retiring at the age of 55.
He is survived by his wife Barbara A., his sons: David M. of Harrisburg, PA and Matthew J. of Enola, PA, along with his daughter, Erin M. of Shiremanstown, PA, and grandson, Aidan J. He is also survived by his two sisters: Carol A. of Harrisburg and Kathleen M. of Enola, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
George loved his family and friends deeply and was always one to make us laugh.
He will be missed greatly here as he enjoys his new life in Heaven.
Funeral service will be at 11:00AM on Monday, January 25, 2016 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Trindle Rd. Camp Hill, with viewing one hour prior to mass.
Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
