Diane Marie Weaver Bissell-Cagle, a resident for 32 years of 238 S. Pitt St., Mercer, passed away at 2:08 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, after a three-day stay in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after suffering a heart attack. She had been ill for the past eight years. She was 62.
Born Aug. 5, 1953, in the former Mercer Cottage Hospital, Mrs. Bissell-Cagle was a daughter of Thomas John Weaver and Hazel Marie Foster Weaver.
She was a 1971 graduate of Mercer High School.
Diane previously worked at General Electric and owned the former Butterfield’s Pub.
She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Her husband of 11 years, Paul Cagle, survives at the residence.
She also leaves four children, Tina Belotti, Mercer; Kimberly Harrison, Butler; and John Bissell Jr. and his wife Jill; and Jayme Bissell, all Mercer; a stepson, Joe Cagle, West Middlesex; two sisters, Judy, wife of Bernie Pyle, Mercer; and Linda, wife of Thomas Combine, New Wilmington; and 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Merissa, Tyson, Jaden, Na’Kyra, Brittany, Jacob, Madison, Jaylyn and Amari.
Also surviving are three nephews, Joel Pyle, Travis Combine and Lucas Combine.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
