Dean Martin Ensley

January 17, 2016

Dean Martin Ensley, 53, of Marshalls Creek, took his final ride on Jan. 17, 2016. He passed away at Pocono Medical Center.

Born on March 13, 1962, he was the son of Mardi Wittemann and the late Chester K. Ensley Jr. of Bucks County.

Dean lived in Monroe County since the age of 12 and graduated from East Stroudsburg High School. He was a self-employed contractor who owned and operated D.M.E. Construction for 25 years; he learned everything he knew while working with his father at Ensley’s Construction, prior to owning his own business. Dean loved hunting, fishing, boating and especially, riding his Harley; he just loved to be outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog. Dean was a kind man, and always helped people in any way he could. He will be sorely missed.

Dean is survived by his stepmother, Brenda Ensley, with whom he resided; his sons: Dean M. Ensley Jr. and his wife, Jenn, of New York, and Jared Ensley of Stroudsburg; his brother, Chris Ensley and his wife, Kelly, of East Stroudsburg; his sister, Niki Ensley of Florida; his niece, Bryanna Ensley; his nephews, Nicholas and Corbin Ensley of East Stroudsburg; his girlfriend, Linda Jannicilli of Bushkill; and his faithful and devoted dog, Madison.

In addition to his father, Dean was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marjorie and Martin Pedersen, and his paternal grandparents, Margaret and Chester Ensley Sr.

Cremation has been entrusted to Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to gather at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 139 Craigs Meadow Road, East Stroudsburg, for a memorial service with Pastor John Harding officiating, held at 1 p.m. Jan. 30, followed by a time of sharing and light refreshments.
