Barbara Taylor of Pocono Summit passed away peacefully on Jan. 10, 2016, at home after a brief illness.
Barbara was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Stillwater Lake over 50 years ago. She was a talented artist, a natural healer and physic. After her “retirement” she would flea market on the weekends in Marshalls Creek.
Barbara loved meeting and greeting new people. Her favorite pastime in recent years was the Mount Airy Casino, in fact it was checked off her bucket list.
Barbara was well loved and will be greatly missed. A private memorial service will be held in the spring.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Gonzalez of Pocono Summit and Michael Taylor of Jersey City, New Jersey; a daughter, Suzanne Gonzalez of Phoenix, Arizona; a granddaughter, Allison Dieckman; and a grandson, Joey Dieckman. Her surviving sisters are Anita Fiducia of Delray Beach, Florida, June Hagan of Pocono Summit and Susan Taylor-Carroll of Pocono Pines; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Dieckman-McAndrews; a grandson, James Gonzalez; her brother, James Taylor; and sisters, Nancy Gerhert and Patty Carrelli.
Memorial donations may be made to AWSOM in her honor.
