Frederick Perry Cline

Frederick Perry Cline, 72, of Somerset, Kentucky, formerly of Woodsfield, passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center, Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in New Matamoras, on Sept. 6, 1945, a son of the late Burnse and Carrie West Cline.

Frederick was a retired supervisor with Dominion East Ohio Gas Company after several years of dedicated service. He was also an honorable veteran of the Vietnam War. After having served his country in the United States Marine Corps, Frederick went on to receive an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, and took pride in whatever he endeavored to do in life. He was a past president of the MRDD Board, Woodsfield; an outstanding member of the Ohio Valley Educational Service Center for many years; member of the “Chain Gang” for the Woodsfield Redskins and Monroe Central Seminoles football teams; as well as many other civil services. Frederick was a car enthusiast and was intrigued by various automobiles. Perhaps, above all, he never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He was a compassionate family man that gave himself selflessly. He was affectionately known as “Teddy Bear” and “Biggin”. Frederick will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Nancy Cline, of Somerset, Kentucky; his son, David (Trudy) Cline, of Woodsfield; his daughter, Carrie Cline and her fiancé Bob Marlow, of Hebron; grandchildren, Hunter Cline, Wyatt, Morgan, Grace, Anha, Dylan, Derek, Maddie Lanie, Emmie and Will; a sister, Patti Cline; step-children, Tamara (John) Lynch and Jason Fliehman; and his friends, Terri Martinez and Tara (Thomas) Baxley; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
