Yolanda Cordero, a longtime area resident, entered into rest on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at home. She was 80 years old.
The daughter of the late John Cintron and Jennie Noya, Yolanda was born on February 5, 1935 in New York, NY. She married Frank on October 10, 1959 in New York City. Frank predeceased Yolanda in 2014.
A lover of nature, Yolanda loved the mountains and beaches. Her dogs were a very special part of her life. She loved playing her slots and she was an avid QVC shopper.
Yolanda is survived by her loving children: Diane Cordero of Newburgh, Daniel Cordero and his wife, Donna of Marlboro, NY and Doreen Dimiceli and her husband, Joe of Maybrook; her sister, Nilda Hill of Poughkeepsie, NY; brothers: Raymond Cintron of the state of Florida, John Cintron of the State of Texas and Jose Noya of Newburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Monday, January 18th at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, NY 12550. Inurnment will take place privately at Goshen Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
Memorial donations may be made in Yolanda’s name to a local animal shelter of one’s choice.
