AUBURN — William F. Pinckney, 90, of Auburn, passed away on Sept. 19, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.
He wss the son of the late William and Mary Beardsley Pinckney. Bill was owner and operator of Main & Pinckney for 40 years. He enjoyed square and round dancing as a member of the Cayuga Cut Ups. Bill was a member of the American Legion as a World War II veteran. He was also a member of the New York Dealers Association and on the Allis-Chalmers Dealer Council. He also loved to go hunting and fishing whenever he had the chance to.
He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Zajac and her husband, Richard, of Syracuse, and Charisse Scala and her husband, John, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Kelly Sickler and her husband, Jonas, Craig Zajac and his wife, Nancy, Benjamin Scala, and William Scala; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Oliver Sickler; four sisters, Nancy Burlson, of Auburn, Margaret DeLorenzo and her husband, David, Dorothy Mckeel, of Union Springs, and Georgene Burnett and her husband, George, of Union Springs; companion, Joan Connors, of Auburn; friend, Mark Connors, of Auburn; caregiver, Barbara Weaver, of Auburn.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his wife, Zenia Sophia Pinckney; two brothers, Robert, and Richard Pinckney, and two sisters, Elizabeth Chamberlain, and Stella Kindrew.
Friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn, with service to follow at 1 p.m.
