Patricia E. Lotito, 87, of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Saturday. Originally from Kansas City, MO, Patricia graduated from the University of Missouri and went on to attend the Peabody Institute in Baltimore, MD. After relocating to Syracuse, Patricia met her husband of 50 years, Joseph N. Lotito who died in 2009. In 1968, together they founded Salt City Playhouse where she devoted her life as the Musical Director as well as handling various administrative responsibilities, fund raising, press releases and countless other tasks. Patricia was a published poet and was also known for her original works which included the musicals “Yes”, “Throne”, “Alice” and “Dickens of a Christmas.”
Beyond her unquestionable talent, Patricia was also one of the most compassionate and intelligent, giving and creative, thoughtful and supportive people that you could ever hope to have known. She had a tremendous sense of community and touched the lives of many.
Surviving are her children, Joe Lotito and Mary (Paul) Esposito; grandchildren, Joseph and Jack Esposito and many nieces and nephews. Patricia will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina St., Syracuse. Services and burial will be private.
