Julius “Junior” Magyar of Newburgh, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Newburgh, NY. He was 69. Julius was born in Newburgh, NY on January 4, 1947. He was the son of the late Julius and Rose Mazzola Magyar. Julius married Mary Ann Vetrano.

Julius was the owner of Magyars Service Center in Newburgh, NY and a member of the United Commercial Travelers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann at home; his son, Joseph V. Magyar and his wife, Kristen of Newburgh; his daughter, Julie and her husband, David Neely of Newburgh; his sister, Mary Ann Larrabee of Newburgh; two grandchildren: Isabella and Lukas Magyar and several nieces and nephews.

Julius is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Larrabee.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Roseton, NY with Father Thomas Dicks officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middle Hope.
