Jim Holden died January 9, 2016, peacefully, with his family by his side, at age 74, formerly of Syracuse. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Holden; daughter, Carolyn Rothman (fiance, John Gramme); son, Steve (Debra) Holden; two grandchildren, Stephanie Holden (fiance, Dean Poulos) and Hudson Rothman; sister, Martha (Philip) Decker; sister-in-law, Margaret Holden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, William and Charles Holden. Jim was raised in Fayetteville and graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School in 1959.
Friends may call Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 183 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral service will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 183 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424 or to Rotary International, (payable to “The Rotary Foundation – Polio Plus Fund”, c/o Dr. Al Walker, PO Box 671, Canandaigua, NY 14424-0671).
