Barbara (Martin) Dombrowski, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. She was born and raised in Norwood, NY to the late Roy and Lula (Oakes) Martin. She worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Scholl’s Shoe Store, Perry’s Office Supply and Dey Brothers. She also owned and operated Barb’s Knitting Factory on Main St. in N. Syracuse during the early 1980’s. Barbara was member of the Syracuse Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses-West Congregation, baptized July 15, 1954.
She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew in 1996 and daughter, Mary Rigler in 1985.
She is survived by 2 sons; Matthew (Christine), of Inkerman, PA and Stanley (Kim), of Camillus, 7 grandchildren; Jennifer (Angelo) Pereira, of Lynn, MA, Colleen (Christopher) Pesotine, of Inkerman, PA, Matthew John Dombrowski, of Danville, PA, Jessica (Agusto) Yizar, of Downingtown, PA, Joshua Dombrowski, of Brooklyn, NY, Sarah Dombrowski, of Downingtown, PA, and Rudy Rigler, of Oneida, NY, 3 great-grandchildren; Jayson Pereira, Mercedes and Trey Yizar, her 99 year old aunt; Lucille Moon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services are 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Syracuse Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses-West Congregation, 1900 W. Fayette St., Syracuse, NY 13204. Private burial will be in N. Syracuse Cemetery.
Family and Friends may call at the Kingdom Hall from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to services.
