Carol F. Davison of Brighton, passed away January 19, 2016, at age 88. Those who were touched by Carol, were lucky to have shared in her vibrancy and love of life. Wherever she went, people were drawn to her compassion and kindness. While her humor always led the way, she was passionate about nature, hiking, skiing, cooking, fashion, travel, art and theater. She was deeply committed to her family and friends. Her grandkids were fortunate to learn from her about every bird, flower and rock in frequent nature outings.
She was born in Clifton, NJ to Elmer and Rose Friedbauer. Carol earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Syracuse University, where she met her future husband, Harold. As an early womens advocate, she volunteered at Planned Parenthood, later earning a master’s degree. Carol taught primary school in Syracuse.
She is survived by three children, Karen (Mark) Blazey, Amy Davison (Jerry Keller) and Michael (Rachel) Davison; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Davison; and brother, Ralph Friedbauer. Special thanks to the caregivers at Highland Internal Medicine Geriatrics & Cardiology, Lynne Tobin and staff at Penfield Greenhouse Home, Mary Lee Bucci and her friend, Rachel.
