M. Patricia “Pat” Banks, 78, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday at Upstate University Hospital, surrounded by her family. Patricia was a founding member of St. John’s Church in 1971. She enjoyed spending her summers in Rye, NH. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing various crafts. Patricia was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who cherished spending time with her family and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen C. Banks in 2006.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sister, Margaret Emch of Seattle, WA; brother, John Jr. (Kathleen) O’Brien of Clay; her children, Michael (Sheree) Banks of Liverpool; Stephanie (Mark) Young of Liverpool; Brian Banks of Liverpool; Charles Banks of Brewerton; Jennifer (Patrick) Bergamo of Liverpool; Kathleen (Craig) McDonald of Waltham, MA; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece, and four nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Pope John XXIII Church, 8290 Soule Road in Liverpool. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Route 31 in Baldwinsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Pope John XXIII Food Pantry, 8290 Soule Road, Liverpool, NY 13090.
