Twins ‘press box ambassador’ Peg Imhoff dies

Peg Imhoff, who worked for the Twins for 42 years as a press box attendant at Met Stadium, the Metrodome and Target Field, died Thursday morning from cancer. She was 79.

Imhoff was with the team until August, when she was hospitalized. She later went into hospice care.

LaVerne F. Dammann, age 84, of Lake City, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health System Lake City Care Center.

LaVerne was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Red Wing to Arthur and Bernice (Grossbach) Dammann. He attended rural school in Bear Valley and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City in 1951. After graduation, LaVerne went into partnership with his father on the family dairy farm.
