Yntema, Stuart H.
Died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 after a short illness. Age 89. He was born on July 1, 1926 to Dr. Stuart and Jean (Bazan) Yntema. He was married to Beverly Ballantine (deceased) on July 29, 1950 and is survived by his good friend Jody Farley; daughters, Karen (Tom) Wilson of Greenbrae, CA, Jentje (Allan) Cain of Houston, TX, sons, Stuart (Gloria) Yntema of Saginaw, MI, Steven Yntema of Saginaw, MI and five grandchildren. Stu was preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Vonnie and Guy S. Garber.
He attended Arthur Hill High School; graduated from Cheshire Academy, Cheshire Connecticut in 1944. Received a B.S. degree in 1948 and a M.S. degree in 1949 from the University of Michigan. He was employed by US Graphite Co., a Division of Wickes Corp., in 1949 as a sales representative in Battle Creek, MI. In 1967 he co-founded TPI Powder Metallurgy, Inc. in St. Charles, MI. In 1986 he became Chairman of the Board and CEO.

SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Rev. Dr. Robert Emrich will officiate. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. According to Stuart’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
