Stella Y. Eller
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at Covenant Healthcare Harrison. Age 98 years. The daughter of the late Roman and Lottie (Mankowski) Borowiak, Stella was born December 6, 1917 in Gaylord, Michigan. She married Ernest H. Eller on June 28, 1941. He predeceased her October 20, 2002. Stella was a member of St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church Site.
Surviving are one daughter, three son and their spouses, Ernest F. and Janet Eller, Freeland; Gael and James Custer, Northport; James and Constance Eller, Saginaw; Gary and Vikki Eller, Beverly Hills, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Bradford, Flint, Joanne Hampton, Saginaw; Barbara Wojtkowiak, Gaylord; two brothers, Richard and Genevieve Borowiak, Gaylord, Raymond and Peggy Borowiak, East Jordan; numerous nieces and nephews; her good friend Carmen Pasternak. Stella was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Eller; five sisters, Carrie Brennan, Viola Thomas, Eleanor Welzel, Dorothy Strzynski and Anna Husza.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre and Covenant HealthCare for their caring and compassionate care towards Stella.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at St. Dominic Parish-St. Stephen Catholic Church Site, 2711 Mackinaw Street in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Pastoral Associate Sharon Wahl, will take place 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
