 Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late Philip and Emma (Humpert) Schofield, Betty was born July 9, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married James W. Benjamin on February 19, 1939. He predeceased her October 27, 1995. Betty was employed part-time at Roeser’s Flowers. She was also employed at Saginaw Osteopathic Hospital as an admitting Clerk for 15 years. Betty was a member and Past President of Saginaw Metropolitan Club Auxiliary. Betty enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing bingo. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

 Surviving are one daughter and three sons, Darlene and Klaus Martin, Sebring, Florida; Larry and Lois Benjamin, Saginaw; Richard and Sue Benjamin, Bloomfield Hills Twp.; James and Nancy Benjamin, Saginaw; 15 grandchildren;  28 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald and Barbara Schofield, Dunlap, Tennessee; Roger and Shirley Schofield, Seminole, Florida; many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Schofield.

 Funeral service will take place 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 12:00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Salvation Army or the charity of their choice.
