Benita B. Estrada passed away Monday January 11, 2016 at St Francis Home after a brief illness at the age of 87 years. She was born on March 11, 1928 in Bastrop, Texas to Teodosio Buitron and Maria (Mendoza) Buitron. She married Jose Ignacio Estrada on March 29, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1985.
Benita had been employed by Vlasic Foods retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of Old Town Christian Outreach Center. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking her special rice and enchiladas. She enjoyed visiting Old Town Soup Kitchen as well as East Side Soup Kitchen to visit with friends.
Surviving are her children; Maria F. (Manuel) Ortiz, Isabel E. (Librado) Perez, Jose A. (Cheryl) Estrada, Elizabeth Estrada; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Orfalinda Pena of Bay City, Noemi Buitron-Delgado of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by Master Sgt. Carmen Rebecca E. Leitton and several relatives.
Funeral Service will take place 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 19th at Old Town Christian Outreach Center with Pastor Don Dinninger officiating. Private Interment will take place in Bastrop, Texas. Friends may visit with the family at Old Town Christian Outreach Center on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. Arrangements entrusted to Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, Michigan.
